Recession
Monday, May 19, 2008, 8:40 AM

This conversation just came about between me and my friends.
Economy was one of my fav subject.

GDP,NDP, supply/demand and all that.
As we all know, America is entering recession. Whether the curve would be a 'U' or a 'W' curve, we do not know. Or the worst case scenario: a 'L' curve.

It has been said, when US sneeze, Singapore will catch a cold.
When China sneeze, the whole world will catch a cold.

Look at the times now. With U.S. trying to recover from recession, Price of oil soring with wings of an eagle.
And the third factor, China. Being hit by an earthquake and at the same time, they have to juggle with Beijing Olympics.

What will become of us in this world?

After a long break, seems to it that i should do something about this "nao bu shen dan" blog.
I feel there should be a change in this blog--No more random posting and topics. For this is a new year! Which will means new beginning. So Its time to do a little upgrading!
After receiving my results from school. I just had to look back into the past one year which I had spent in PSB Academy. It seems to me like it was only yesterday that i enroll into the school! Mixed feelings I had at that point of time, when time seems to pass so fast.. and yet slow. All those mugging and struggling during study break together with my fellow classmates finally come to a pay off when I look at my results.

Just feel that this would be something to thank God for. When I enroll into this school, I told myself what every new student would have said to themselves. --to work real hard and score well in every module.

Well, thank God for sustaining me throughout all these time. Even tho some of my personal programs crushes with the study break, God still manage to gave me absolutely NO C's and below for all my modules. Thank God for being a faithful God. Who is always Good, All the time!

Quiet, Please
Thursday, January 17, 2008, 8:18 AM

read up- 1 kings 19:1-12

In recent years, the spread of personal digital music players has resulted in concern about hearing loss. The design of the music players and their earphones has been the target of complaints and lawsuits. Long term exposure to music at a high volume has been shown to cause serious hearing impairment. In a sense, too much hearing can result in an inability to hear.

We live in a world filled with noise-- noise designed to sell, plead, seduce, and deceive. In the midst of this cacophony of sound, it's easy to miss the one that matters the most.

Elijah had listened to Jezebel's threats and the voice of his own fear. So he fled to a cave and hide. In the cave he was confronted with the overwhelming noise of wind, an earthquake, and fire(1 king 19:11-12). Then the cave grew silent and the voice of the Lord-- the only sound that mattered-- broke through as "a still small voice" (v.12)

If we are to hear God speaking to our hearts through His Word, we need to pull away from the noise of the crowd. Only when we learn to be quiet can we really understand what it means to commune with the God who cares for us.

In our "quiet time" today, let's make an effort to listen for the voice of God-- Bill Crowder

Speak, Lord, in the stillness
While i wait on Thee;
Hushedmy heart to listen
In expectancy. --Grimes

Magical Christmas
Thursday, December 27, 2007, 5:09 AM

At first it felt that i had nothing to do during Christmas session. But little did i know that i actually had so many last min event. =D

Oh Christmas tree, O Christmas tree~

Well, there are lots of Christmas tree, but i choose these two

Random shot @ Orchard

I took this shot because.. well.. i tot it was nice

As me and my friend were walking around, we saw this group of people doing carols and skits of Christmas. It was quite meaningful, not to mention that the song was very nice too. And while I was busying taking photos, this friend of mine was dazzled by the skit about the birth of Christ. She didn't even notice tat i was back from my photo taking and was standing beside her.

Well.. Thats the reason why we have Christmas. (=

Ain't they sweet? =D

Skit on the birth of Christ

Let me fast forward to the day of Christmas. =p Just when I tot i had nothing to do on Christmas, i was wrong. My phone rang and someone requested me to be there.

And they were all there! =D

Friends and friend of friends.

Christmas Cake!

We had fun. Lots and lots of it. Hahaha. Guess we're just full of craps. Great Christmas with you guys! I personally don like crowded areas anyway, this place is just the right place. =D

What did we do there? If only there is a guitar, Da jie would play. lolz. But then again, she had her fingernails polished. So, we can just drop that idea. =p

Bascially we did nothing but talking craps. Trust me, its really crappy.

Whoo hoo~!

Guess whats that. Hahahaha its "Tang Yuan". =D

Mum said this to me this morning.

Mum: Ah boi ahz.... Tong zhi jie you dao le. Ni ah, da yi suei le hor.
(My boy, today is "Tong zhi" on the Chinese calender, you're one year older.)

Me(Thinking): Since you mention that i'm one year older, stop calling me 'Ah boy'.

Me(saying): Okie.

mum: that makes you 26 this year.

Me: huh? But i'm 24!

Mum: But the Chinese calender says you're 26.

Me: fine.. i'm turning 25.

One thing i don like about Chinese calender is they always makes me older..
And i have no idea why..

Okie, now i'm currently jobless in a sense, grated student and unemployed. Studies say unemployment rate is 1.9% this last quarter, and its the lowest for the past few years. I've been trying to get one, and I've been to a few of interviews. But found non that I'm interested in.

But this is something to thank God for. Seems like I'm taking a break from all these works, being in charge of two camps is tiring. Thrust me.. you won't want that to happen to you during your exam period. jiggling three balls at once, how stressful is it? Very.

And since its Holiday seasons, Christmas... New Year, not to mention birthday events. I really enjoy this month. Somehow i like the feeling that I'm busy, are all men like this? Usually busy with sch, busy with work. But this time round, Busy with friends.

Haven't really been meeting up with all my friends for the past few months. Sec sch friends, army friends, friends of friends.. and those living near my area.

Wonder if they're free.

Christmas-- Its all about LOVE, because Jesus was born.
Wednesday, December 19, 2007, 7:52 AM

What does Christmas means to you? Some say, its a time of celebration. Its a time of sharing. Its a time where everyone buys gifts and exchange with one another. Someone mention this.. Its a time of giving. Now this really struck me. Its a time of giving, how many of us, can affort to give and not expecting anything in return? I myself struggle with this sometimes.

If you were to round up everything i mention above, Its all about LOVE. Iszen it true? You share, you celebrate, you buy gifts.. Its all ways of expressing your love for your friends, loved ones, family members. Now..How did this word giving stuck me?--Its all about giving.

I shall explain here: As i have mention, its all about LOVE. Why..? because its the birth of Christ Jesus.

John 3:16,17 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

This is what we called Agape. A love that is uncondition, expecting nothing in return. He made the first move, and gave us his son.

Which is why, we celebrate christmas. And of coz, its a time of giving, sharing, celebration. Join us, would you not? (=

Nothing better than a peaceful sight.

Yesterday wad kinda lonely, Suddenly felt lost after all those exams, camp preparations and all those teachings for the boys. I personally doesn't like that kind of feelings.. Never did. Then this word came.. Emotionally unavailable. Sometimes it just leave me wondering...

I've just added three more songs into the play list. I felt that its kinda peaceful. Tired of running is the word that i personally am feeling right now. Really tired. So many voices in my head. Maybe i should get some time off.

Well! Today is a new beginning. Going gym together with friends would be a good way to kill this loneliness. And after that, we'll have a good dinner. =D

Hey Val, we are all waiting for your return. It has been 5 months! And it's been such a long time. =X
You reminds me of sunflowers... Argh.. you know what i mean. Please don do that again, ever.
